Introduction
The Embassy of Israel is pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centre in Colombo from 18th January 2010. The Israel visa application centre will accept visa applications from Sri Lanka applicants and foreign nationals residing in Sri Lanka with valid resident permit in Sri Lanka who wish to travel to Israel.

The visa applications are to be submitted at the Israel Visa Application Centre at Colombo (Srilanka). All applications will be assessed by The Embassy of Israel, located in New Delhi.

Israel Visa Application Centre provides the visa application support service only. Staff members of Israel Visa Application Centre have no power or influence over the outcome of an application. The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by the officers at the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi India. Israel Visa Application Centre role is entirely impartial. Israel Visa Application Center staff will provide the visa information but they cannot and will not offer immigration advice.

For Prospective Applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being incomplete or not being processed.

The Israel Visa Application Centre would accept applications for B1(Employment / Work), B2 (Business / Tourist), & A2 (Student) Visa categories. The application shall be submitted by Israel visa application to The Embassy of Israel in New Delhi.

Please note that you may be required to appear before a Visa Officer through Web Interview at Israel Visa Application Centre with Embassy of Israel in New Delhi prior to a decision being taken on your application. The Visa Application Centre shall help you to take an appointment for the same.

Processing Time:

Processing time of Visa will be minimum of 15 working days (including day submission at Israel Visa Application Center) for B2 Visa and minimum of 10 working days (including day of Submission at Israel Visa Application Center) for B1 Visa (after receiving an approval from the Ministry of Interior in Israel) Applications accepted at The Israel Visa Application Center will be couriered on the same day to the Embassy of Israel New Delhi.
 
Visa Application Process
Step 1: Click, “All about visas ” Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy.

Step 2: Complete you visa application form in black or blue in bold letters, sign the application form. For minor under 18 year of age both parent have to sign on their behalf. You may download the form from this websites.
Step 3: Check fees payable and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section All about visas .
Step 4: Ensure photos are strictly as per specification.
Step 5: Attach all supporting documents required as per the checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete application cannot be accepted. B1 (Employment Visa) applicants need to submit a medical report from Lanka Hospital.
Step 6: Submit your application along with the passport and required documents at our Israel Visa centre in Colombo.
